Vehicle Recognition

An umbrella term that describes cameras, surveillance systems, and other technologies that work to identify a car’s make, model, and driver. Vehicle recognition has many uses. These uses include applications in law enforcement, military operations, buying and selling of cars, infrastructure invoicing, and even targeted advertising. Vehicle recognition is used to analyze a vehicle in its entirety. It does this by combining several separate technologies such as automatic number plate recognition, license plate recognition and even specialized scanners.
