Employment Skip Tracing

Employment skip tracing is a method of verifying employment to locate a debtor. It may use databases but must have current employment records to garnish wages for a debt owed. The debtor’s employer must withhold the garnished wages and give to a court-appointed source. This process can easily become more complicated if a debtor is terminated from their place of employment. Common sources of employment information used by private investigators include employment verification companies and credit bureaus.
